PRIDE Poster and Pizza Party
Please drop in to the Atlantic Alano Club, as we make creative signs and banners, so that we may make a strong and proud showing at the Long Beach Gay PRIDE parade! Pizza will be served to participants. We meet on May 12th, from 2:00pm - 4:00pm, making signs and enjoying pizza! Rescheduled Board Meeting

As per Article IV, Section I, Paragraph III of the Atlantic Alano Club By-Laws, our Semiannual General Membership Meeting will be conducted this Saturday, April 21st at 6pm. There are two (2) open Board positions. We are most proud and pleased to announce the following 5 candidates that are running for one of the two positions on the Board: -John Kirby Paid Members are invited to attend the Semiannual General Membership Meeting at 6pm on Saturday, April 21st. Please pick up a Nomination Ballot from the Coffee Bar Volunteer or on our website at www.atlanticalano.info. Submit only two names as your candidate choice, and bring the completed Ballot with you on Saturday. If you are not available to attend the Semiannual General Membership Meeting on the 21st, you can submit your vote "By Proxy". You will need to mark the Box on the Ballot that you will be voting By Proxy. There are two ways you can vote By Proxy: Submit your Proxy into one of the mailboxes inside the large meeting room by 9pm on Friday, April 20th, 2012. You will receive a call from a Board Member on Saturday, the 21st by 3pm confirming your By Proxy Vote. Give your By Proxy Vote to a Member who will be attending the meeting on Saturday. Make sure you mark who will be turning in your By Proxy Vote for you. Remember, only paid Members will have the privilege of voting. The Atlantic Alano Club will ask members to nominate individuals to fill vacancies on the Board of Directors. Please have nominations for the Board submitted, soon. A new women's stag has started Wednesdays. Any literature from AA is discussed. The meeting is called Women's Winning Literature of AA, and meets on Wednesdays at 6:00pm, at the Atlantic Alano Club. Movie Night and St Patricks Day Event
This month's movie night will feature the Rocky Horror Picture Show, on Sat, March 10th, starting at 7:00pm. Members are free and Non-Members will be charged $2.00, and there will be FREE POPCORN to all that attend. We Are Not Saints - Cancelled
It is with much disappointment that the Board of Directors has decided to postpone the We Are Not Saints Comedy Show until early next year. Unfortunately the state of the economy has made it very difficult for many people to afford the cost of $20.00 per ticket for a comedy show. New Friday Nicotine Anonymous Meeting
Starting Fridays, at 6:00pm, there will be a new Nicotine Anonymous meeting, at the Atlantic Alano Club. Topics will include smoking cessation and issues of nicotine addiction. A schedule can be checked at the aac meetings page. Future Sober Events
By the unanimous vote of the AAC Board and Membership, the regularly annual Valentine's Day Event is cancelled. Those searching for stellar entertainment might be on the lookout for the St. Patrick's Day Event, Movie Night, and the We Are Not Saints comedy sober event. Sober New Years
December 31st, at 8pm, Greg D. will be sharing his experience, strength, and hope. At 9:30pm, the Atlantic Alano Club will turn into a Sober New Years Dance, to ring in 2012, with the sounds of DJ Ken A. Tickets are $10. All are welcome to attend the upcoming Programs and Activities Committee meetings every Tuesday, at 6:00pm, which occur up until the New Year Dance! The fellowship of the AAC, may come together, in the spirit of the holidays for Movie Night, on Dec 9th @ 9:45pm. We will be viewing The Grinch, starring Jim Carey. This event is free to members. Refreshments such as popcorn will be served FREE to those who attend. (At other times, popcorn will be 25¢ per bag to members, and 50¢ per bag to non-members.) Mondays, at 7:30pm, at the Atlantic Alano Club, there is a new meeting of Narcotics Anonymous. The NA Meeting on the 18th had a total of 21 attendees, and all are welcome. AAC Beach Party Huge Success
