Positive Results StatementSince The Atlantic Alano Club was founded in 1984, the club has helped thousands of people with recovery from addiction and other psychological challenges that keep them on the outskirts of society. The club has been very successful in providing the lesbian and gay community with a safe harbor from such devastating illnesses.These results are accomplished through the daily twelve step meetings (averaging four meetings a day, seven days a week); community referral services for persons needing help finding sober living housing, or other recovery related needs and drug and alcohol free dances, dinners, beach parties, holiday meals and other fellowship gatherings. The Atlantic Alano Club gives back to the community through volunteer work and outreach programs that make our community and surrounding areas a better, safer place to live. We have recently been recognized by the City of Long Beach for 20 years of commitment to the GLBT recovery community. |
